Shibari - Japanese bondage rope from Bound to Please

Traditionally hemp rope was always used for Shibari. Our linen rope makes an excellent alternative, especially if you don't like the farmyard smell of hemp rope. Our linen rope is softer and less scratchy. It does not need boiling and stretching and does not smell. Really it's hemp without the hassle.  It has much of the character of hemp but much less trouble. It does not shed fibres and can be lightly oiled if you wish to.  It comes 6mm in diameter - ideal for Shibari Japanese rope bondage.

Our silk style bondage ropes are an attractive and economical choice for Shibari Japanese rope bondage . They are specially made for Bound to Please in 6 mm size but they have an oval profile that lies nicely against the body. It really shows off the patterns of your rope work. All our silk bondage ropes are actually man made artificial silk. They are made of a fibre with virtually no stretch in it and are an excellent choice for Japanese rope bondage. They are available in jet black, deep purple and fuchsia pink.   If you want to you can easily wash our Japanese silk bondage ropes but they do not get softer; they already have a very silky and sensuous feel.
